Common Faults

I have a connectivity problem with crackling and loss of signal – especially when I move the Minirig or wiggle the cable. Is the unit faulty?

1. The first port of call is to ensure you have pushed the audio cable firmly into the Minirig/Subwoofer.

If this is not the issue:

2. Please try using a different audio cable. If your Minirig works after this elimination process it is clear your original audio cable has been damaged.

If this does not solve the problem:

3. Please try changing the audio device i.e. IPOD or PHONE, if this solves the problem it may be a fault with your audio device.

I have problems when charging my Minirig/Subwoofer, the LED will not flash or is stuck on a certain colour.

1.The first port of call is to ensure you have pushed the charger cable firmly into the Minirig/Subwoofer and usb port.

If this has not solved you problem:

2. Please try using a different usb port as the port you are trying may be faulty.

Still not working:

3. Please try using a different charger cable, if your Minirig is now charging it is clear your original charger cable is damaged.

"Can I charge the Minirig using the mains USB adapter that came with my phone?

Yes. You can charge the Minirig from any USB port. It only draws 500mA max which is the minimum rating for any USB port.

“If I buy two Minirigs, will they give me stereo sound?”

Yes they will… and it will sound amazing! However, you need to split the left and right channels with a stereo splitter cable.

Is there a limit to the number of Minirigs you can connect up?

Obviously there is practical limits but we have had some great parties with over 20 Minirigs linked up in a chain without any problems.

“Will the Minirig work with my iPhone?”

Yes, the Minirig will work with any phone or device with a standard 3.5mm headphone output.

You can control the volume using the volume rocker or volume control on the device.
